Rebecca Shima

Club Team: Surrey Guildford United

Hometown: Surrey

Coaches Thoughts: Rebecca is a consistent, technical and hardworking defender. She can play at FB or the outside of a back 3. She is comfortable with both feet and playing out of the back. She also is also a tenacious ball winner.

What are you most looking forward to next season?: I am most looking forward to bettering myself as a soccer player, as well with getting to experience a new level of soccer.

Halle Bottrell

High school: R.E. Mountain Secondary School

Club Team: NCUSC United

Hometown: Langley

Coaches Thoughts: Halle is a very technical goalkeeper. She is an excellent shot stopper and distributor of the ball. Halle is a very hardworking student athlete and she will be a great addition on and off the field for our program and with our GK union.

What are your goals for next season?: To make an impact on the team and help them achieve their goals.

Sofia Flores-Aguilera

High school: Enver Creek Secondary

Club Team: Surrey Guildford United Metro

Hometown: Surrey

Coaches Thoughts: Sofia is a creative and attack-minded player who can play in the #10 and forward positions. Her movement is excellent as she has an innate ability to find space and dangerous attacking positions.

Why did you choose Douglas College?: Best suites my career goal. I heard so many good things about Douglas.

Paris Cheramy

High school: Panorama Ridge Secondary

Club Team: Surrey Guildford United

Hometown: Surrey

Coaches Thoughts: Paris is a tidy and tenacious defensive midfielder. She has the ability to keep a team in possession and to advance the ball. She is also strong in tackles and will help us regain possession in the midfield.

What are you most looking forward to next season?: I am looking forward to joining a brand new team, with new coaches and new players. I?ve been playing on the same team with most of the same girls for the past five years which has been amazing, but a fresh start is always a good thing! I?m also just excited to learn and grow as a player!

Emma Thomas

High school: Terry Fox secondary

Club Team: POCO LFC

Hometown: Port Coquitlam

Coaches Thoughts: Emma is an intelligent, versatile and athletic player. She reads the game well and can assert herself physically into games. This allows her to be impactful in any position through the spine of the team.

What are you most looking forward to next season?: To begin a new experience and to learn from my future teammates.

Jasmine Mangat

High school: Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary

Club Team: Surrey United

Hometown: Surrey

Coaches Thoughts: Jasmine is a very technical, intelligent and versatile player. She is able to play as a box-to-box midfielder, holding midfielder or on the backline. She will be able to help us dictate tempo while maintaining possession and creating opportunities in attacking positions.

What are your goals for next season?: My goal is to give 100% in anything I do whether it be in athletics or academics.

Hannah dela Cruz

High school: South Delta Secondary School

Club Team: Delta Coastal Selects

Hometown: Ladner

Coaches Thoughts: Hannah is a smart and consistent player which allows her to play in a number of positions including centre back. She can help break lines and maintain possession with the ball and is calm and composed without it.

What are your goals for next season?: My goal is to give 100% in anything I do whether it be in athletics or academics.

Mikaela Montagano

High school: Saint Thomas More Collegiate

Club Team: Mountain United FC

Hometown: Burnaby

Coaches Thoughts: Mikaela is a very technical and intelligent player. She can play anywhere in the midfield and on the wing. She is effective and responsible on both sides of the ball, but we are looking most forward to her ability to connect and create chances for our front runners.

What are your goals for next season?: My goals for next season is to continue to grow as a player and improve my strength and conditioning. To utilize my skill to strike the ball and have an impact offensively.
