Fasolino Throws Shutout As DC Royals Defeats Skagit Valley

Jessica Fasolino shut down Skagit Valley, throwing a complete game shutout and leading DC Royals to a 14-0 victory on Saturday

DC Royals got things started in the first inning when Kimberly Anderson doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

DC Royals notched five runs in the fourth inning. Lindsey Cowdell, Cassa Courtney, Emily Morrison, and Shelby Kwak each had RBIs in the frame.

One bright spot for Skagit Valley was a single by Lauren E in the first inning.

Fasolino was the winning pitcher for DC Royals. She allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking zero.

Morgan B took the loss for Skagit Valley. She surrendered four runs on four hits over two-thirds of an inning, walking zero.

Breanna V started the game for Skagit Valley. She went two-thirds of an inning, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out one and walking zero.

DC Royals tallied 14 hits. Courtney, Janessa Hanson, and Anderson all had multiple hits for DC Royals. Hanson and Courtney each managed three hits to lead DC Royals. DC Royals didn't commit a single error in the field. Kwak had four chances in the field, the most on the team.

Lauren led Skagit Valley with one hit in two at bats.

With Jessica Podskalny On The Mound, DC Royals Shuts Out Skagit Valley

Jessica Podskalny threw a gem on Saturday for DC Royals, allowing zero runs and besting Skagit Valley by a score of 16-0

Cassa Courtney led DC Royals to victory by driving in six runs. She went 3-for-5 at the plate. Courtney drove in runs on a home run in the second, a double in the third, and a home run in the fifth.  Shelby Kwak hit her first home run of the season.

One bright spot for Skagit Valley was a single by Alyssa C in the first inning.

Podskalny pitched DC Royals to victory. She lasted five innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out nine and walking one.

Morgan B took the loss for Skagit Valley. She went five innings, allowing 16 runs on 19 hits and striking out two.

DC Royals totaled 19 hits. Hannah Menard, Courtney, Kimberly Anderson, Shelby Kwak, and Janessa Hanson all had multiple hits for DC Royals. Anderson, Courtney, and Menardall had three hits to lead DC Royals.

DC Royals Defeats Shoreline Despite Allowing 3-Run Inning

DC Royals claimed a 13-4 victory on Sunday, despite a big push by Shoreline in the third inning. Shoreline batters contributing to the big inning included Maddie Spatig and Arielle Holmes, who all drove in runs.

DC Royals fired up the offense in the first inning. Cassa Courtney drove in two when she homered.

DC Royals put up six runs in the sixth inning. DC Royals's offense in the inning came from singles by Lindsey Cowdell, Shelby Kwak, and Hannah Menard, a fielder's choice by Emily Morrison, and an error on a ball put in play by Kimberly Anderson.

Jessica Podskalny earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for DC Royals. She lasted four innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out six and walking zero.

Hope Lawrence took the loss for Shoreline. She allowed 12 hits and 13 runs over five innings, striking out five.

Kira Staley started the game for DC Royals. She surrendered four runs on six hits over two innings, striking out three.

DC Royals hit two home runs on the day. Courtney had a long ball in the first inning. Kwakwent deep in the third inning.

DC Royals racked up 13 hits. Cowdell, Rachel Warburton, Kwak, Courtney, and Andersoneach racked up multiple hits for DC Royals. Cowdell went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead DC Royals in hits. DC Royals was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Kwak had the most chances in the field with nine. Warburton led DC Royals with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases.

Shoreline had seven hits in the game. Brittaney Carrington and Spatig each managed multiple hits for Shoreline.

DC Royals Defeats Shoreline In A Blow-Out Victory

DC Royals cruised to an easy victory over Shoreline 8-1 on Sunday

In the first inning, DC Royals got their offense started when Kimberly Anderson doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

DC Royals notched three runs in the fourth inning. Cassa Courtney and Anderson all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.  Casey Gareau hit her first home run of the season.

Jessica Fasolino earned the win for DC Royals. She surrendered one run on two hits over seven innings, striking out 12 and walking one.

Jocelynn Taylor took the loss for Shoreline. She allowed ten hits and six runs over four and a third innings.

DC Royals tallied 13 hits in the game. Rachel Warburton, Casey Gareau, Shelby Kwak, Courtney, and Anderson each had multiple hits for DC Royals. Anderson, Courtney, Kwak, Gareau, and Warburton each collected two hits to lead DC Royals. DC Royals was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Olivia Vachon made the most plays with 12.
