Devin Strome

High school: New Westminster Secondary

Hometown: New Westminster

Coaches Thoughts: We are very excited to have a local New Westminster Hyack join the Women's basketball program at Douglas College. Devin had lots of success scoring inside the key and making good decisions with the basketball and we expect her to make similar contributions with the Royals.

What are your goals for next season?: To work harder than ever and continue to learn new skills.

Malena Mokhovikova

High school: Britannia Secondary School

Coaches Thoughts: Malena is a natural shot blocker and runs the floor very well. We expect her to be an impact player, making her presence known at both ends of the court.

What are you most looking forward to next season?: Getting to know my team! I'm very excited to represent Douglas college, get better as a player and meet new people that are as passionate about this sport as I am. Also I am looking forward to growing as an individual and as a player, which is also very important to me.

Karalee Antoine

High school: Britannia Secondary

Hometown: Vancouver

Coaches Thoughts: Karalee has the ability to open up defences with her accurate shooting and court vision. As she adapts to the pace of the PacWest, her basketball talents will shine.

Why did you choose Douglas College?: I chose Douglas because it isn't far from home and I also have a couple of friends and teammates that will also be attending Douglas next year!

Cassie Brinn

High school: St. Patrick's Regional Secondary School

Hometown: Vancouver

Coaches Thoughts:Cassie is a dynamic perimeter player who loves to ball. She will look to push the tempo and put pressure on the opposition?s guards.

What are your goals for next season?: My goals for next season are to develop my skills as a point guard and work on my mental game as well.

Shaelynn Tolerton

High school: Holy Cross Regional Highschool

Hometown: Delta

Coaches Thoughts: Shaelynn will bring an inside physical presence and positive attitude to the Royals. She has the ability to join in the fastbreak and will be expected to establish herself on the glass every time she gets on the floor.

Why did you choose Douglas College?: I chose Douglas for the smaller class sizes, the Arts program and the friendly team!

Sydney Fraess

High school: G.W Graham

Coaches Thoughts: Sydney is a versatile guard/forward that has the ability to contribute both on offence and defence. She has a great attitude and very good basketball IQ, and the potential to be an impact player.

Julia Sprott

Coaches Thoughts: Julia is a hard-working, blue collar player who likes to make things difficult on the opposing team. We expect Julia to lead by example both in practice and in games.
