Bio

Robby Toor is heading into his eighth year as Head Coach of the Men’s Soccer program at Douglas College. In 2007, Toor became the assistant coach of the Men’s Soccer program, which he held until he was offered the co-head coaching role in 2013. In 2018, he took over as head coach.

In total, Toor has over eighteen years of coaching experience. His history with the Royals includes multiple accolades. He was an assistant coach in 2009 when the team won the BCCAA Soccer Provincial Title and placed third at the CCAA National Championships. As co-head coach, he led the team to a bronze medal at the 2013 CCAA National Championship and a silver medal in 2017, and won two PACWEST Provincial titles in 2014 and 2017. Since 2018, he's won the PACWEST title in 2019, 2021, and 2023 and won a CCAA silver medal in 2021. In 2023, he won the CCAA National Championship as head coach.

Robby’s credentials go to show his dedication and love for the game. He boasts a Canadian Soccer Association ‘B’ National Certified Coaching license, a ‘B’ Provincial Certified Coaching license, and a CONCACAF A Coaching Diploma. Through BC Soccer he has also attained a CSA ‘For Life’ certificate and a ‘B-Prep’ Certificate. He is also the Head Coach of the 2010G and 2011B BCSPL Programs and BCSPL General Manager, and additionally holds a diploma in Sports Science from Douglas College and a Bachelors in Health Science from Thompson Rivers University. Toor’s coaching philosophy revolves around consistency, hard work, and good habits. He believes that success is a byproduct of an unwavering commitment by all members of a team to those three attributes.

Born in Vancouver, Robby is the youngest of 3 boys. He currently resides in Cloverdale with his wife Tiffany, his two children, Kensley and Kylan, and two dogs Charlie and Teller.
