Royals enter final weekend of regular season on hot streak
The Royals men made a statement this past Sunday with a huge 4-1 win over the Capilano Blues. Though the game was scoreless for much of the first half, the Royals flared up just before the 45th minute and scored 2 goals in 4 minutes to quickly take the lead. From then on, the Douglas offense tallied up 2 more goals in the second half as they constantly kept pressure in the Blues zone. The win catapults them into first place in the PACWEST conference with 12 points, moving into a 4-3 record with only 2 games left in the regular season and extending their impressive win streak to 4. They also remain 2nd in CCAA rankings this week.

- The Royals and Mariners have traded a win and a loss the past 2 games this season, the first being a 3-1 VIU win over Douglas and the second being a 1-0 clean sheet win by the Royals at home. - The Falcons come into the match with a 3-3-1 record and a total of 10 points, currently sitting third in the PACWEST conference in what has culminated to be a very tight division.
- The Royals will need to bring a strong offensive game this weekend in hopes of extending their win streak again and grab as many points as possible to secure their first-place spot in the conference.
This weekend's matchups will determine the final seeding for the PACWEST championships taking place on October 30-31. Catch the Royals men in action as they host the VIU Mariners for their last home game on Saturday Oct. 23 at 3:30pm before they finish the season with a visit to the Langara Falcons on Sunday Oct. 24.
