Douglas College Softball Hits the Diamond as the Royals Begin Their 2026 Season

After a season where four players were named to the end of season NWAC All-Region team, the Royals are poised to return to the NWAC Championships after a year away in 2025. The Royals finished with a 19-23 overall record and 15-17 in conference last season.
Shortstop Amy Clegg leads a class of six returning players from the previous season. Second team pitcher Kaitlyn Penner is also returning, plus standouts such as Taya Goncalves and Ashley Nugent.
Douglas plays their first NWAC game on February 20th against Mount Hood. Their first North Region game is scheduled for March 11th against Pierce College. All home games will be held at Softball City in White Rock, BC.
