Royals At The Break: For Women's Volleyball, 2026 Holds Promise for PACWEST Run
The year 2026 holds promise for the Douglas College Women's Volleyball program.
The team currently sits just one game back of the Camosun Chargers for the final PACWEST playoff spot, but have numerous players in the individual leaderboards. Lauren Bowman currently sits seventh in the PACWEST in kills per game with 2.38, while first-year Emma Jackson sits sixth in digs with 2.32. Veteran Lauren Way is first overall in total blocks in the PACWEST with 32. And to top it off, they're currently 11th in the CCAA national rankings.
Douglas will have a tough test coming back when they face the team ranked second in the CCAA, the Capilano Blues. Their first home game will be on January 23rd against the College of the Rockies Avalanche. Check out all the photos of the team from the first half of the season here.
