Braden Persian Concludes Tenure as Douglas College Baseball Head Coach After Leading Program Rebuild
After three seasons as the Head Coach of the Baseball program, the Douglas College Athletics department has announced that Braden Persian will be stepping away to spend more time with his young family.
"Serving as Head Coach at Douglas College has been one of the greatest privileges of my career," said Persian. "I'm incredibly proud of the culture we built, the adversity we overcame, and most importantly, the young men who represented this program with character, toughness, and pride every single day.
Douglas will always hold a special place in my heart, and I'm grateful to everyone who helped make this journey so meaningful."
Persian joined the Royals in the summer of 2023 and led a successful rebuild of the Baseball program to return to NWAC play the past two seasons. Under his leadership, the Royals had four players named to the NWAC All-Region Baseball team over the past two seasons, including a First Team nominee in Carson Young this past season.
"On behalf of the Douglas College Athletics department, we would like to thank Coach Persian for his leadership, commitment, and dedication to the Baseball program over the past three seasons," said Brian McLennon, Director, Athletics and Recreation. "We wish Braden all the success in his future endeavors."
Persian will continue to support the program before officially departing his role as Head Coach in the coming weeks. You can view the job posting on the Douglas College website.
