Clements Dominates With Defensive Player of the Year Title; Joins Dalphond as PACWEST All-Star
Lauren Clements and Mackenzie Dalphond of the women's basketball team were both big winners today as the PACWEST released its end-of-season awards list.
Clements was named a First Team All-Star and won Defensive Player of the Year for a second consecutive season. She led the league in steals in the regular season and was third in assists, to go along with being fifth in scoring. Dalphond was also named a First Team All-Star for a second consecutive year, leading the league in rebounds per game and field goal percentage.
The Royals play this Friday in the PACWEST championships at 530PM, hosted by Camosun College. Douglas is the second overall seed, and a win will put them in the championship game on Saturday.
