Women's Basketball Adds Trio of Talent Ahead of 2026–27 Season

The Douglas College Women's Basketball program announced today three more additions to the 2026 recruiting class. This makes a total of six new players to join the Royals for the upcoming season.
Qierra Murray
Position: Guard
Height: 5'8"
High School: Roosevelt High School
Previous Team: Reedley College
Hometown: Fresno, California
Why did you choose Douglas College: "I chose Douglas College to continue my education in sports science, for sports, new experiences, and opportunities."
Coach Steve Beauchamp's thoughts: "We are extremely excited about the versatility, dynamic scoring, and defensive quickness Qierra brings. Her ability to create not only for herself but also for her teammates will offer the coaches many options. Qierra joins us as a transfer from Reedley College."
Amber Patrignani
Position: Guard
Height: 5'7"
High School: Fleetwood Park Secondary
Previous Club Team: Athelite Basketball Academy
Hometown: Surrey, BC
Why did you choose Douglas College: "I chose Douglas College because of the strong team culture, coaching staff, and the opportunity to grow as both a player and a person."
Coach Steve Beauchamp's thoughts: "At our ID camp, Amber impressed us with her work ethic, coachability, and competitiveness. She will push her new teammates to get better."
Amy Rokosh
Position: Guard
Height: 5'7"
High School: Holy Cross Regional Secondary
Previous Team: Langara College
Hometown: Surrey, BC
Why did you choose Douglas College: "I chose Douglas to finish my academic and athletic journey because I feel it is the best opportunity to grow both on and off the court. I am excited to be a part of a competitive and supportive environment surrounded by great coaches and players."
Coach Steve Beauchamp's thoughts: "Amy joins us as a transfer from Langara College. As a 4th year player, her experience, physicality on defense, and offensive play-making ability will give us many options at the guard/wing position. We expect Amy to be a leader and effective contributor for the Royals."
